Anne Marie Keskonis
Welcome to Harmony Elementary. My name is Anne Marie Keskonis and I am honored and excited to be the principal of your school. I am a veteran of the Gwinnett County Public School system and have served in a teaching and leadership role for over 25 years. The excitement surrounding this school year is evident. This year promises to be one of the best ever thanks to our diligent students, extraordinary staff and supportive parents.
I am Emily Nelson, and it is an honor to serve as Harmony Elementary’s Assistant Principal. Harmony has such a caring and dedicated staff that truly puts children first. I love my role supporting our staff, students, and parents as we work together to create a strong learning community that encourages every learner to be successful.
I am in my 13th year in education. As a product of Gwinnett County Schools, it has been so wonderful to work in the district that was part of my educational journey. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia, my Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, and my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University. I am currently halfway through my doctoral program at Georgia State in Educational Leadership. I began my career teaching first grade, and then served many years as a K-5 Literacy Coach, where I provided professional development to teachers.
I encourage you to become an active participant in your child’s education by communicating regularly with your child’s teacher, taking advantages of opportunities to volunteer at school, and becoming involved with our PTA. I look forward to a great school year as we build a partnership together to support our incredible students.
My name is Candace Jones and I am so excited to join the Harmony administrative team as Assistant Principal this year! This is my seventeenth year in education, and my tenth year at Harmony. During my career, I have served as a first grade teacher, third grade teacher, Lead ESOL teacher, and Math Coach. These roles have allowed me the opportunity to grow professionally as I supported both students and teachers.
I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia, and then went on to get my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. I have also received several endorsements (Gifted, ESOL, and Math) that have allowed me to better serve our students and staff.
As a Harmony parent myself, I have strong Wildcat pride! We have an amazing community, and I know that our students will be successful with the support of our teachers and parents. Please let me know how I can best support you and your children this year.
