We believe that all students can learn, all students are important, and all students can be successful in life.  Through our physical education program, the overall goal is that children develop healthy attitudes that lead them to a lifestyle of regular physical activity.  We strive to provide an environment that is fun, energetic, and supportive.  Please assist us by modeling healthy habits in your household and by encouraging daily physical activity.

CLASS RULES:

1. LISTEN AND FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS.
2. RESPECT YOURSELF, OTHER STUDENTS, AND ALL EQUIPMENT/SCHOOL PROPERTY.
3. PROPER FOOTWEAR:
   In the interest of our students' safety, we require all students to wear appropriate athletic footwear on PE days. Athletic shoes do not include boots, sandals, flip flops, slip-ons, heels, or crocs. Plese understand that if a student does not wear proper footwear then they cannot participate in class, therefore they cannot learn and master the AKS. If a student is held out of class three or more times due to improper footwear, it will result in a reduction of a letter grade for the nine weeks.
   If your child is unsure of whether they have PE or not, we suggest that they are allowed to put a pair of athletic shoes in their book bags to bring to school and put on before coming to PE.

4. STAY ON TASK AT ALL TIMES.

MEDICAL CONCERNS:
All students will participate everyday unless unable to due to a medical concern.  A NOTE MUST BE PROVIDED FROM A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OR A DOCTOR EXPLAINING THE COCNERN OR CONDITION.   Alternate work will be provided.  If a student has a cast, they cannot participate without a doctor’s note stating that they can participate in ALL activities.
